Brand identity, packaging and website design for SHHH, an award-winning salon & haircare specialist based in Hong Kong with a worldwide awareness of quality and expectation.
Creative Approach
The hair salon founding principle is “hair wellbeing”— going beyond hair styling, and promoting the healthy condition of the scalp and every strand of hair.
Inspired both by the science behind SHHH’s philosophy and its Hong Kong hair salon featuring discrete, chic and pristine interiors—monochromatic
colour palette, noble materials such as marble surfaces, precisely cut steel bases, vast empty walls—we set off to explore concepts of timeless design, researching early visual references of prestige and sophistication to infuse with a quiet irreverence.
Creative Outcome
The typographic all-cap logo is inspired by the traditional craft of stone carved letters or ornaments to which we injected a definite contemporary edginess.
Embracing the soothing and quiet interiors, we paired it with a mono black & white colour palette.
The finesse and quirky attention to detail of the visual identity shines through its sinuous logo, editorial layouts, fine paper stocks and the embossed and chiseled print finishes used across all brand collateral. It reflects the salon’s philosophy, care and craft put into its services and products.
Hyper Potential
Since launching SHHH has attracted international interest and has been featured in and on major lifestyle publications and websites such as Monocle, Tatler, Vogue HK / UK, Prestige and CNN. It was coined an “urban wellness sanctuary” by Highsnobiety.
In 2024, they launched SHHH Hair Australia, establishing a dedicated Instagram presence and Shopify store for the Australian market.
In 2025 it opened a pop-up store at one of Hong Kong’s largest luxury retail commercial complexes, Landmark.
