Creative Approach
The ten charming bespoke homes are carved out from the bones of a site steeped in history. Known as Widney Farm prior to the 1920s, it was originally part of the Manor of Longdon, owned by Lord Byron upon his marriage in 1815 to Anne Isabella Milbank, the daughter of Sir Ralph Noel, 6th Baronet. It was subsequently passed on to several renowned owners such as William King-Noel the 1st Earl of Lovelace, the Pattison Brothers—well-known local bakers and confectioners—,Samuel Boddington of Hillfield Hall and Captain Oliver Bird, the grandson Alfred Bird, the founder of ‘Bird’s Custard’.
Diving into this rich history and inspired by the many architectural features from the original structures, such as ornate beams, we set out to create a brand identity honouring this unique estate and its heritage.
Creative Outcome
The logotype and its typography mixes stunning hairlines with wide open counters and a soft, rhythmic finish to create a timeless sense of sophistication whilst remaining sharp and contemporary.
With a soft and minimal colour palette matching the materials and finishes used across the exteriors and interiors, the resulting brand identity fits perfectly within the fabric of the original structures and the overall sense of style and calm that emanates from the property.
